Fly Fishing at Royal NataI Park
Most men and boys will love this activity although some women and girls also enjoy fishing. Here you can do some trout fishing or if you don't like fishing, you can go for a swim instead! Another thing you can do other than enjoying the view is to try and look for Mountain Reedbucks and Grey Rhebucks that can be spotted in the area.
Drakensberg Ballooning
Unless anyone in your household has a fear of heights, this is a great way to enjoy a panoramic and scenic view of the whole Kwazulu-Natal. These hot air balloon flights are worth every second.

Brave Dragon Rock Reptile Centre
Who doesn't love to see animals? Especially exotic animals that we don't always get to see or encounter in our everyday lives! Then head over to Brave Dragon Rock Reptile Centre to see some of the different animals that they have. You can see so many different animals including reptiles like snakes and alligators, interesting critters like chameleons or cute ones like the hedgehogs. You can also see beautiful plants as well. There is so much to see and learn here which makes it a great place to take the whole family!

Horseback Riding
Horses... Beautiful, strong, majestic and just amazing animals! At Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort you can find around 26 horses that you and your family can take for a ride. They have different ride level options available, from kids and novice riders to adults and experienced riders. Do yourself and your family a favour and visit the resort and enjoy the ride!
Drakensberg Canopy Tour
Welcome to Africa's very first elevated rock face walkway! They have a mix of cliff face and treetop platforms with cable slides over the forest up to 60m high! You can glide between the platforms and enjoy the view of the majestic Drakensberg, waterfalls, cascading streams and the ancient indigenous forest. Booking is essential as they are only open on selected days. And although there is no specific age restrictions, the recommended age to do this is between 7 and 70 years of age.

Hiking
There is a vast amount of local hikes with varying levels of ease. Among others some of these hikes include but are not limited to Rainbow Gorge (easy-moderate), Sugar Loaf (moderate), Giant's Cup Trail (strenuous) and Amphitheater Hike (strenuous). Farmers’ Lawn Market
Everyone enjoys a day at a local market. There is quite a lot of things to enjoy doing with your family. Enjoy the haystacks, coffee, beer, snacks, live music and curios available at different stalls. Do note that this is not a farmer's market solely for farmers to sell their produce as some may think. It is just a regular local market with stalls that have different products available.

Falcon Ridge
This is a bird of prey centre that helps to rehabilitate and recover injured birds. You and your family can learn so much about these truly amazing birds and how to help with their conservation. They also sell snacks, refreshments as well as caps to visitors. You won't be disappointed with a visit to this wonderful place.
